Barlesscelona

So, Barcelona is where everything kind of fell apart. The themes of the last two blogs have been growing pains, and lost in translation, basically things should have improved, but didn't. No, we didn't see Flamenco dancing. No, we didn't go to the famous stadium. No, we didn't go to the beaches. No, we didn't go out and check out the nightlife, and no, we didn't even drink any sangria.

So, there were a few reasons for our lack of what not. Basically, we didn't have our shit together. We were continuing to run out of laundry, Matt's credit card still didn't work, we spent an unnecessarily long time in train station trying to figure things out, the lack of sleep was getting to us, I was just generally pissed off most of the time, we were still pretty inefficient with orientating ourselves with a new city, and planning an iternerary so the days don't just kind of pass before our eyes. Oh yeah, and one night we tried to get a bunch of people together, who we consistently waited for, then they just kind of left saying, "Ok, we are going out by ourselves." But, despite all the difficulties, we still managed to do some fun things as well... plus, on the flipside, it gives me a reason to return to the city that everyone except us seems to instantly fall in love with.

I put up these Indiana Jones style maps for each location we went to, but hopefully I can post the pictures and videos of Barcelona, Nice, and Rome soon, we're so far behind!

The hostel we stayed in. No air conditioning, which makes things worse. We've learned to the two important features really are A/C, Wi-Fi... oh and maybe location.

The continuing series of "Where's Matt?", taken in the huge mirror ceiling of the MareMagnum mall on the pier.

The nicest dinner we ever had, and the most we ever spent, felt like kings after all that bread and microwaveable pizza. Oh and this English fellow Lee we met.

The market. Plenty of fresh fruit and what-not. Doesn't compare to California though.

What can I say, those Europeans will do anything do some change.

Let me be the first to say, this is exactly what is looks like. From the Erotica Museum. Surprisingly un-erotic.

Matt seems to always snap these picture of me snoring.

Definitely the most note-worthy thing we saw in Barcelona. One of Gaudi's many constructions in Barcelona, and certainly his masterpiece. The intricacies of the artwork are amazing, many religious themes, as always, but yeah, there's tons of pictures, but I don't really feel like uploading them all, and they'd probably bore you. Oh yeah, it's the Sagrada Familia.

This is what your shoes see.
